Worship services at Michael Servetus do not differ much in form from services at a mainline Protestant church. There are hymns, a time for reflection, musical interludes, readings, a sermon, and of course, we take a collection.
Readings can be taken from the sacred literature of all the world religions, or from the writings of philosophers, teachers and poets. Usually our minister, Mark Gallagher, delivers the sermon, but often we have a guest minister, or a special service crafted by members of the Fellowship.
At the 11:15 service members of the congregation may offer comments or reflections
on the sermon. More. |
