Recruiting SpeakersThe recruiting of outside speakers to present services when Mark is not in the pulpit has primarily been the responsibility of Gretchen Meyer. Gretchen has chosen to focus on other activities. We thank Gretchen for her diligent service in our behalf and wish her the best in her new endeavors. The Worship Committee selected Jack Slingerland to take on recruitment duties, at least until next summer. Holiday Services Plans are on track for an excellent holiday worship season. Erica Kelly is coordinating the various music programs to insure we have a scintillating variety of holiday music. Mark will lead the Christmas Eve services with the help of the Chime Choir at the first service and the Vocal Choir at the second. After Christmas The day after Christmas, we have only one Sunday service at 10:00 AM. Erica Kelley will lead a group of "ex-patriots" in exploring holiday traditions in the UK. The following Sunday, January 2nd, Tracy Kelly and Christina Dodds will lead our traditional New Years candle-lighting service. Service Proposals The Worship Committee continues its exploration of how best to assess proposals for whorship services. In process, we must decide what are the essential components of a service and what is their relative importance. This has proven a slow but stimulating task.
