Tapestry Project- The Board of Trustees will pay $800.00 from retained reserves for the Library Panel of the Tapestry Project. The Music Committee will reimburse the $800.00 through Fundraising concerts.

Michele will write the a letter to the Board of Trustees Thanking them for their action.

Notices will be in the Bulletin for Sunday services stating that the panel will be in MSUUF’s name.

Pulpit note for this Sunday on this topic. Michele will write the note.

Erica will post a notice on Cool List for the October 25th Concert.

Rex will ask about availability of doing a Soup Sunday to raise funds. Dates are Feb or late January. This to be done at program council.

Thomas Rheingans Concert Erica has not heard back from Thomas about the March 13th or the June 5th dates.

April 25th Intergenerational Sunday- Rex has met with Barbara Stevens and has clarified several dates to start teaching three different groups of children the song for their musical instruments that they will build. For the 5th and 6th graders, March 28th and April 18th dates are available. For the 3rd and 4th graders, April 18th is available. A little more time is needed, and we will have to start the planing with adults by March 1st. Rex will be checking with Sue Aschim about working with YRUU to see if this group would like to be involved in the project as teachers and musical instrument builders.

Sunday Book- Hymns for November were selected.

Video History of MSUUF- We have been asked to provide music for the video. Must be in digital form. We can take music from the Heart Exchange CD, Jennifer Pratt-Walter’s music. Perhaps we can enlist Brian's help in transferring taped music to CD’s. Perhaps we can tape the Choir or other small groups.

Planning for the October 25th Concert- We will have a combination of tables and chairs, with the chairs in the center and table around the edges. Brian Levy will be asked to be the Master of Ceremonies for this concert.
Line up for the concert:
Celtic Muse
Erica’s Poetry reading
Beltane
Circle Round
Intermission
Al Wilson
John Aschim- Poetry reading
The Bell Tones Quartet
Nancy’s Sing along
Dance the Fifties with David Percival and Barbara Gray.
(Michele will get some music to dance to and Erica will talk to Chris Smith about music also.)

Letter to Ryc- Rex is to send our the letter to Ryc about the music he is arranging and how that will be paid.

Choir Report- The choir will not be going to East Rose this year. It seems that they no longer have a Choir director, and so they can not exchange choirs as we had hoped.

Christmas Eve Service- The volunteer Survey has identified several volunteers for the Christmas Eve Service. The music has still not been selected. The Chime Choir will be playing at the first service, and the Adult Choir will be performing at the second service.

Plans for the Future- Rex led a discussion of what could be our direction as we gain more members and move to a fellowship of over 300 members. The visionary budget was discussed and the associated coast. The music budget accounts for 5.8% of our present budget, and as membership grows, so will the amount available for the music program. For next meeting, all members are to think about a job description for a Music Director at our Fellowship, and what that person would do.

BIN____________ Next meeting we need to discuss a method by which members of the Fellowship could have their children be Featured Musicians.
