New Business

Piano Appraisal Insurance increase: previously appraised at $12,000, but we need a new appraisal/ Rex will ask Ken Marts if he will give us a written appraisal. The lindeman also should be appraised and insured as well as the Baldwin spinet.

Restricted accounts: Rex has talked with John Tyburski and we can change the names of the accounts if we want to. A piano Depreciation fund, given $20.00 /month for 15 years should yield $3,500 for a piano rebuild. There will also be money in the Endowment fund from the interest earned on the money earmarked for the performing arts.

Piano Accompanist: We discussed the repercussions of paying the Sunday Piano Accompanist. Do we need W-2 forms etc.. We should check with Karen to see if she is interested in being the Accompanist year round. Rex and Erica are to put together a letter to let the Board of Trustees know that, though we presently are being well cared for by two wonderful volunteer for Sunday Service Accompanist, there may come a time in the
future when this is not the case. We need to be prepared for that time.

Thomas Rheingans: Rex Talked with Tami (MSUUF Business Manager) about rental/use of MSUUF for rehearsals. It was indicated that if the Music Committee sponsored the event that Thom has proposed, we would not need to pay rent. There was much discussion, and it was agreed that Erica would let Thom know that we would try this, but that the Rent was being waved only for the next two months, and that after that time, we would reevaluate the situation. Donations received from these open rehearsals will go to the Music Restricted funds.

Budget: Rex printed out a draft Budget for 2003-2004, We will submit an increase in Piano maintenance, request $150.00 for a Chimes Depreciation Fund, and a CPI increases for Choir Accompanist.
