Facilities Minutes July 30th 2003

Members of the Committee present

Merv Murphy, Tom Krisinski, Rex Siegfried, Robin Akers

Old Business

The committee is having its first meeting

Went over list of recent projects that have been started or finished
Trash location.

New Business

Discussed Facilities needs pictures and problems, Rex and Merv identified in the Main and RE buildings here at MSUUF.
.

Identify jobs that need immediate attention. Prioritize the list of jobs to give us direction in the next month. Tom suggested that we limit our list of jobs, and try to concentrate on getting a small list done.
Power washer for the cleaning of the buildings.
Complete RE Storage
Finish Bathroom make over in RE down stairs.
Try to get the parking lot striped correctly for two handicapped spaces.
Have landscaping remove much of the bushes on the West End of the RE building
PaintWest End of RE Building before September.
Curtains in DRE Office
Blinds in the Sanctuary

Volunteers
We had a good discussion on how we can get a large group of MSUUFers involved in the work that needs to be done at the Fellowship?
Set up criteria for requesting volunteers.
Select Job to be done
Identify equipment and material needed
Get these supplies ready
Generate list of members that would most likely do the job if asked.
Contact these people personally
Give assistance to the volunteers while they are doing the job.
Some form of recognition that they did the job.

Get volunteers by placing request in the Bulletin, and the Servetan. Also check with Chris Smith about getting certain jobs listed on her Volunteer support sheet in the fall.

Set up a page on the Web site to allow MSUUFers to see what jobs are need and what skills are needed to do the jobs.
Have an email address for them to contact Facilities Chair to volunteer.

Money available to do project at MSUUF

Need to check with Tammy about how much money has been budgeted for Facilities.
